Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DashOwl collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use dashowl.co and app.dashowl.co (the "Service").

1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, brand/business name and password (stored hashed), provided when you sign up.
- Connected-platform data — when you choose to connect a platform (for example your online store, advertising accounts, analytics, payment gateway, shipping panel or WhatsApp Business), we fetch the business data those platforms expose to your authorised connection: orders, products, customers, ad performance metrics, payment and shipping records, and business messages. You control which platforms are connected and can disconnect any of them at any time.
- Messages — if you use DashOwl's messaging features (such as a connected WhatsApp Business line), message content and delivery metadata pass through the Service so we can show conversations in your inbox and run automations you configure.
- Usage and device data — basic logs (pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, browser type) used for security, debugging and product improvement.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: dashboards, reports, alerts, messaging tools and integrations you enable.
- To generate AI insights: portions of your business data are processed by AI models to produce summaries, analysis and recommendations shown only to you.
- To operate, secure and improve the Service, and to communicate with you about your account.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use one customer's business data to serve another customer.
3. Data from Meta platforms
- Where you connect Meta products (such as Meta Ads, Facebook Pages, Instagram or WhatsApp Business), we access only the data you authorise via Meta's official login and permission flow, and use it solely to display and analyse your own business performance inside your private dashboard.
- Our use of Meta platform data complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
- You can revoke access at any time — from the Integrations section of your dashboard, or from your Facebook/Meta account's Business Integrations settings. On revocation or deletion request, associated platform data is deleted from our systems (see Section 7).
4. Sharing and service providers
We share data only with service providers that help us run DashOwl, bound by contractual confidentiality — in these categories: cloud hosting and databases, AI model processing, payment processing (Razorpay, for billing), email delivery, and business-messaging delivery infrastructure. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of the Service and its users.
5. Security
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- Platform credentials and access tokens are stored encrypted at rest.
- Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
6. Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active. When you disconnect an integration, we stop fetching its data; when you delete your account (or request deletion), associated personal and business data is deleted from active systems within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
7. Data deletion — how to
- In the app: disconnect any integration from the Integrations page — future fetching stops immediately.
- Full deletion: email dipesh@dashowl.co or call +91 95560 45365 from your registered details requesting account/data deletion — we confirm completion within 30 days.
- Meta-initiated deletion: deletion requests sent through Meta's data-deletion callback for our app are honoured automatically.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. Write to the Grievance Officer above; we respond within the timelines prescribed by law.
9. Cookies
The Service uses essential cookies/local storage for login sessions and preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the dashboard.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, with the effective date updated above.
